Those interested in applying must submit an essay and proof of their eligibility no later than July 28<sup>th<\/sup>, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>We will be announcing the winner on August 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, 2018.<\/p>\n<h2>Requirements &amp; Eligibility<\/h2>\n<p>To be considered for the scholarship, you must be currently registered as a student in a high school, college or university.<\/p>\n<p>You do not need to play a musical instrument to apply. All students, regardless of their major, are welcome to submit an application.<\/p>\n<p>Past recipients of the scholarship are not eligible and should not apply.<\/p>\n<h2>Essay<\/h2>\n<p>Think of a popular tune or song that has lyrics.<\/p>\n<p>Your task is to replace the original lyrics with new ones that help teach a concept or piece of information to someone.<\/p>\n<p>The new song might be aimed at teaching children, helping language learners understand grammar concepts, a way for math students to memorize a formula, and so on. You must think of a new song title, as well.<\/p>\n<p>Be creative and please write the title of the original song and artist at the top of your document for reference. Also, be sure to include an introduction that explains why you have chosen the particular song and whom you would like the new version to help.<\/p>\n<h2>Application Process<\/h2>\n<p>All applicants must send the following information to scholarship@instrumenttop.com no later than July 28<sup>th<\/sup>, 2018.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proof that you are currently a student<\/li>\n<li>Name, Address, and E-mail Address<\/li>\n<li>Essay<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How We Select a Winner<\/h2>\n<p>Creativity is the main factor that we will be considering when reviewing the essays and songs, as well as how helpful the songs are to their intended audience.<\/p>\n<h2>About Us<\/h2>\n<p>At Instrument Top, we believe that music goes hand in hand with education and it is through music that many of us learn.<\/p>\n<p>We also help educate people by sharing the results of our in-depth research with those interested in instruments.
